CERTIFIED FLAGGER

Job Summary

Our Traffic Division is actively looking for a hardworking and observant candidate to join as a Flagger on a full-time basis.

 

As a Flagger, you are responsible for directing vehicles around the construction sites. You will also be accountable for placing barricades, signboards, and traffic cones. In addition to this, you should be recording the license number of those vehicles that disobey rules.

 

To succeed in this job role, you should be able to stand for a long period of time with excellent physical stamina. You should also have an outstanding ability to lead and motivate the team members as and when required.

**ALL APPLICANTS WILL BE REQUIRED TO PASS A MANDATORY DRUG TEST UPON HIRING**

Responsibilities & Duties
  • Set up safe work zones with proper equipment

  • Using hand signals and direction signs to divert traffic

  • Communicating with other flaggers using hand-held radios to direct two-way traffic onto a single lane

  • Control traffic flow with stop/slow paddles

  • Setting up & removing all signs, barricades, and traffic cones

  • Recording the license plate numbers of motorists who neglect to obey traffic signs and directions

  • Communicate with your partner to keep everyone safe

  • Provide outstanding service and protection to customers.

Qualifications & Skills
  • High school diploma or GED.

  • Certification through the American Traffic Safety Services Association (ATSSA).

  • Proven experience working as a flagger.

  • Sound knowledge of state traffic regulations.

  • The ability to stand for extended periods.

  • The ability to lift 50-60 lbs.

  • The ability to work as part of a team.

  • The ability to work in harsh weather conditions.

  • Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.

  • Exceptional observation skills.

  • Effective communication skills.

  • The ability to pass a required drug test.

Salary & Benefits
  • $15 - $18/Hr Based on Experience
